Thunderstorm & Lightning - First Attempt

Last sunday night, around 10 pm we had severe thunderstorm warnings in our county. I got tempted to shoot thunderstorms despite warnings as I have never tried before. So, in the heavy downpour, I drove to a nearby lake instead of parking headon, I  parked sideways, got into the back seat rolled down the window and adjusted the gear despite rain slamming down into the car. It was very uncomfortable and congested to sit in the back seat with tripod.

After 10 or 15 minutes, a cop pulled right behind me and warned me to leave the place as this is not a parking lot. Luckily, I didn't get any ticket for wrong parking.

Though not happy with the picture, there is always next time....
